Job summary

Belong Center, a DAYBREAKER-affiliated nonprofit, seeks an Operations Manager to oversee budgeting, compliance, insurance, and risk management, while guiding cross-functional teams on Belong Center initiatives.

You will support fundraising, manage stakeholder relationships, and lead governance processes, collaborating with leadership and external partners to advance Belong Center’s mission to end loneliness and build belonging.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years in nonprofit management, operations, or related field.
• Experience overseeing budgets, financial reporting, compliance, and risk management.
• Experience supporting fundraising efforts and driving campaigns.
• Familiarity with IRS Form 990, audits, governance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day Belong Center operating budget with Finance for transparency and resource allocation.
• Lead annual nonprofit compliance obligations including Form 990, filings, audits, and governance reporting.
• Manage organizational insurance coverage and risk mitigation.
• Serve as liaison between nonprofit and pro-bono legal partners as organization grows.
• Drive end-to-end operational excellence for Belong Center projects and cross-team collaboration.
• Provide people leadership and professional development opportunities.
• Partner with PR to orchestrate high-visibility press launches and speak publicly for Belong Center.
