Job summary

Autocar, LLC, a leading manufacturer of severe-duty vocational trucks, is seeking a Quality Manager (QA/QC) to lead quality management at the Hagerstown, IN plant. You will drive continuous improvement and build a strong quality culture across manufacturing operations to ensure reliable, high-quality products for customers.

You will lead a team of quality professionals, collaborate with engineering, operations, and supply chain, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and related standards while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Technology, Quality, or related field.
• 5+ years of quality experience in manufacturing.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience with quality systems such as ISO 9001, IATF/TS16949 (preferred).
• Familiarity with tools like SPC, FMEA, Six Sigma, RCA, CAPA.

Responsibilities

• Lead all Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities across the plant.
• Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and implement CAPA.
• Establish and maintain inspection standards, testing procedures, and quality systems.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to embed quality in design, materials, and processes.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends and reduce defects and scrap.
• Lead internal and external audits and ensure compliance with standards.
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of quality engineers and inspectors.
• Oversee calibration systems and testing equipment reliability.
