Job summary

Autocar, LLC is seeking a Supplier Quality role located on site at our Hagerstown, IN facility. You will manage supplier quality for daily production, investigate suspect material, and administer SCAR/RMA processes to ensure proper handling of rejects.

The role requires 3 years in quality and strong communication across levels, with emphasis on improving accuracy, shipping/reject control, and metrics reporting to drive continual improvement.

• Create and maintain hourly/daily/weekly/monthly metrics and report daily on the same.

Job Overview

You will be responsible for managing supplier quality as it relates to daily production. This includes the investigation of suspect material, ensuring the proper processing of rejected material, including the administration of SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Request), RMA’s, Scrap, etc. This includes daily checks of the multiple reject areas, ensuring suspect parts are tagged appropriately, then working with Materials to have that materials moved physically and systematically to the reject area.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Education and Experience

• 3 years of relevant work experience in a quality related field.

Physical Requirements

• Capable of wearing task specific personal protective equipment which may include dust mask, air purifying respirator (i.e., half and/or full faced), safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection.
• Capable of meeting OSHA standards for manual lifting guidelines: < 50lbs
• While performing the duties of this job it is required to stand, walk, and use hands to operate objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands or arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch when necessary for job activity.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
• The ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures.

This role will be located onsite at our Hagerstown, IN facility.
