Job summary

Alpha is hiring a Youth Development Specialist to deliver life-skills workshops for K-8 students on public speaking, focus, and feedback. You will guide motivational 1:1 and small-group sessions, using Coachbot analytics and Alpha incentives to push progress toward weekly goals.

Your role includes administering the Test2Pass mastery checks and re-coaching students who need improvement, while adapting the curriculum for different ages and keeping a strong, engaging presence.

Qualifications

• Willing to work in person at an Alpha campus; relocation support provided.
• At least 3 years directly with K-8 students: teaching, tutoring, coaching, or camp leadership.
• Comfortable with adaptive learning software while coaching life-skills.
• Legal right to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Strong stage presence to hold a room of 12-year-olds for an hour.

Responsibilities

• Lead one-hour life-skills workshops for K-8 cohorts on public speaking, focus, and feedback.
• Conduct daily 1:1 and small-group motivation sessions using Coachbot analytics and Alpha incentives.
• Administer Test2Pass mastery assessments and re-coach until passing.
• Adapt workshop playbooks and create new sessions for varied ages.
• Be the authoritative, approachable adult students rely on.
