Job summary

Associated Black Charities seeks an Outreach, Communications, and Digital Content Coordinator to join a mission-driven team working to advance racial equity and social justice. The role focuses on crafting compelling content, managing digital channels, and supporting events and donor communications.

You will collaborate with program staff to amplify impact, engage diverse stakeholders, and maintain consistent, purpose-driven storytelling across platforms.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in communications, PR, or marketing.
• 2–3 years in communications, outreach, or social media management.
• Strong written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.
• Experience in media relations and press releases preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive outreach strategies to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Create content for ABC's communications channels, including website, newsletters, press releases, and social media.
• Manage ABC's social media presence, including posting updates, responding to comments, and tracking analytics.
• Collaborate with program staff to develop communication materials to support programs and fundraising.
• Cultivate relationships with local media outlets and influencers to raise ABC's profile.
• Coordinate outreach events and community engagement activities to foster dialogue and mobilize support.
• Monitor trends in communications, media, and social justice to inform ABC messaging.
• Provide support to staff on effective communication techniques and best practices.
• Assist with marketing campaigns to promote ABC events, programs, and fundraising.
• Track and report on outreach activities and engagement metrics.
• Ensure messaging aligns with ABC’s strategic plan and donor engagement goals.
• Manage technology and logistics for ABC’s virtual program offerings.
