Job summary

TNTP is seeking an Effectiveness Coach in Baltimore to support and develop Residents and paraeducators within the Baltimore City partnership. You will design curriculum, deliver professional development, and drive culturally responsive instruction for multilingual learners and students receiving special education services.

You will lead a data-informed coaching program, collaborate with district and school teams, and ensure high-quality teacher development aligned to standards.

Qualifications

• At least three years of teaching experience.
• Prior experience developing and coaching teachers.
• Proven track record of building trusting relationships with other adults.
• Experience with deeper learning, school design, innovative models, and/or standards-aligned project-based learning, as well as cultural proficiency (preferred).
• Previous experience designing and facilitating professional development for teachers.
• Experience supporting multilingual learners (MLs) or students who receive special education services and knowledge on best practices to support these students (preferred).
• Strong creative instincts to develop new approaches, programs or initiatives with limited guidance and historical precedent.
• Ability to track and analyze data on teacher and student performance to uncover trends and act strategically and effectively to improve results.
• A commitment to constant learning and improvement in both your own work and the work of others.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a data-driven coaching strategy to support Residents and paraeducators.
• Collaborate with partners and BCHPS staff to support paraeducators' development.
• Identify innovative solutions to improve teacher performance and instructional quality.
• Contribute to design and management of Pre-Service Training for Residents.
• Design sessions aligned to Maryland College and Career-Ready Standards.
• Partner with TNTP team to provide high-quality program experiences.
• Develop long-term strategies for teacher development initiatives.
• Travel up to 40% with on-site work 4–5 days per week when needed.
