Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO invites applications for a Research Services Entry Professional in the Mathew Lab of Immunology & Microbiology. This onsite role supports processing clinical samples, immune cell workflows, and data collection for translational cancer immunology projects.

You will perform flow cytometry, single-cell analyses, and CRISPR workflows, maintain precise records, and assist with mouse studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field
• A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
• Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
• Master’s degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field
• Prior experience or background within an experimental or wet lab

Responsibilities

• Collect, receive, process, and cryopreserve time-sensitive blood and tissue samples from patients participating in clinical studies.
• Isolate and culture primary immune cells and prepare samples for downstream functional and molecular assays.
• Perform high-dimensional flow-cytometry experiments, including antibody-panel preparation, staining, acquisition, quality control, and analysis.
• Support single-cell transcriptomic, multiplex-proteomic, and CRISPR-screening workflows.
• Assist with mouse models of cancer immunotherapy, including treatment administration, monitoring, tissue collection, and immune profiling.
• Maintain accurate experimental records, clinical-sample inventories, databases, protocols, reagents, and laboratory equipment while following institutional safety and regulatory requirements.
