Job summary

University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO, seeks a Temporary Research Services Laboratory Science Entry Professional to perform wet-lab duties and assist with research projects. The position requires occasional travel for off-site experiments and collaboration with research organizations.

The candidate should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to work independently or in a team, and able to work in person with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; substitution of education/experience allowed on a year-for-year basis.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
• Experience with lab safety and standard laboratory practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with PIs and stakeholders on laboratory and research functions
• Utilize laboratory techniques required for research projects
• Support analytical testing processes including sample collection, preparation and documentation
• Perform pre-, analytical and post-analytical test processes and evaluate results
• Prepare lab for daily operations: stocking materials, safety and cleanliness
• Dispose of laboratory materials according to guidelines
• Review and process logs, documents, databases and related information
