Job summary

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science (MLS eligible) and either one year of lab experience or an MLS degree; ASCP/AMT certification is preferred. Sign-on bonus of $5,000; overtime flexibility and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or a non-traditional Bachelor’s degree that meets local regulatory requirements
• One year of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree
• ASCP or AMT certification is preferred

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures according to SOPs
• Resolve pendings and report accurate results to support patient care
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
• Comply with regulatory guidelines and Labcorp SOPs at all times
