Job summary

Labcorp, a global leader in laboratory services, seeks a Medical Technologist I to join the Genomics team in Indianapolis, IN. Work schedule is Monday–Friday 12pm–8:00 with possible Saturday rotation. The role involves testing, troubleshooting, reporting results and maintaining QC in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant Bachelor's degree and at least one year of clinical lab experience or an MLS degree, with ASCP/AMT certification preferred. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical or biological sciences or equivalent meeting regulatory requirements.
• One year of clinical laboratory testing experience OR MLS degree.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to criteria.
• Perform routine and complex procedures per SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation.
• Report accurate results and maintain quality control.
