Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Medical Technologist I to join the Immunology team in Indianapolis, IN. The role features a Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm work schedule and involves performing routine and complex testing with strict adherence to SOPs.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science or MLS eligibility; ASCP/AMT certification is preferred, with potential for two years of clinical testing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or an equivalent degree meeting regulatory requirements.
• MLS degree acceptable under CLIA & State requirements.

Responsibilities

• Determine specimen acceptability for testing per SOPs.
• Perform routine and complex procedures per SOPs.
• Resolve pendings, check specimens, document discrepancies.
• Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate test results to support patient care.
• Perform and document QC and preventative maintenance.
• Replenish testing bench supplies as needed.
• Assist with specimen processing when required.
• Maintain a safe work environment and PPE compliance.
• Comply with regulatory guidelines and SOPs.
