Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Medical Technologist I to join our Genomics team in Indianapolis, IN. The role focuses on specimen acceptability, technical testing, instrumentation maintenance and timely reporting of results to support patient care.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a chemical/biological science and either one year of testing experience or an MLS degree. Certification such as ASCP/AMT is preferred. Day schedule with potential Saturday rotation is described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or an equivalent that meets CLIA/State requirements.
• One year of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine acceptability of specimens for testing according to criteria.
• Perform routine and complex procedures per SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation.
• Report accurate test results to support patient care.
• Maintain safety and PPE, comply with SOPs.
