What You'll Do
The Immigration Specialist is responsible for providing general administrative support to the Discover Global Mobility & Immigration team, including the coordination of daily activities, service delivering and reporting. Responsibilities may include the day-to-day partnership with multiple stakeholders including Talent Acquisition, HR consultants, candidates and employees to advise on immigration laws, requirements, timeframes, and Discover provided immigration and relocation services.

Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

How You'll Do It

  • Provides daily immigration support to external and internal stakeholders across all business units and applies subject matter expertise on complex immigration issues
  • Supports immigration processes, policies, and protocols that may include NIV and IV program and projects; Assists in resolution of case-specific concerns/issues
  • Prepares and maintains USCIS/DOL compliance documents; Assists with preparing documentation related to revised processes and procedures
  • Serves as the administrator of the Flexible Work Arrangement program for sponsored-employees
  • Reviews and maintains employees’ records and reports
  • Assists with required immigration postings online and on-site, including tracking, filing and record-keeping
  • Creates, organizes, and maintains electronic documents, databases and file systems for audit compliance and tracking support
  • Responsible for managing the general Immigration inbox and responding to simple inquiries or escalating as needed
  • Other tasks as assigned


Qualifications You'll Need
Minimum Requirements

  • 4+ years handling complex immigration cases involving U.S. employment-based immigration visas, regulations, and permanent residency processes (example visas types L-1, H1-B, TN, EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, J-1, PERM) and reviewing case facts to determine the optimal filing type.


Preferred Requirements

  • GMS Certification
  • High level of customer service skills and a successful history of partnering and developing working relationships with all levels of clients and stakeholders (talent acquisition, HR partners, business leaders, candidates)
  • Self-organized, strong implication-thinking skills, problem-solving ability, and detail oriented to ensure accurate information is submitted and timelines are managed

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $67,000.00 to $113,000.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
