Smith Knudson LLC in Lakewood, Colorado is seeking an experienced Immigration Paralegal to join our office on a part- or full-time basis. This is not a remote position, and you will support a busy immigration practice focused on family and employment-based petitions.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of immigration paralegal experience, Spanish-English bilingual proficiency, and a commitment to teamwork with clients.

Qualifications

• Experience in business, family, humanitarian, and removal cases will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Preparing family-based immigration petitions.
• Preparing documents necessary for consular processing and humanitarian-based applications including asylum, U visas, VAWA, T visas, and Deferred Action.
• Preparing motions and evidence for filing in immigration court.
• Working closely with clients to gather necessary documentation and information.
• Exercising discretion to triage questions properly.
• Tracking important deadlines and eligibility dates for a large caseload.
• Working efficiently in a fast-paced law office.

Our firm is looking for an experienced Immigration Paralegal to join our Lakewood, Colorado office part or full-time. This is not a remote position. We specialize in immigration and naturalization law. Our firm has a robust family and employment-based immigration, removal defense, naturalization, and humanitarian/asylum practice. At least two years of experience as an immigration paralegal is required. This is not an entry-level position. Experience in business, family, humanitarian, and removal cases will be considered. Bilingual Spanish-English proficiency is required. Other foreign language skills are a plus.

The duties include:

• Preparing family-based immigration petitions.
