Job summary

Neuhauser Law, PLLC is seeking a detail-oriented Spanish-speaking Immigration Paralegal to join our Immigration Department. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of immigration law and procedures, including removal defense matters, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment.

The role involves preparing and filing family-based petitions, adjustment of status, VAWA and employment-based filings, handling removal defense

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of immigration law experience.
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English (written and verbal).
  • Strong knowledge of USCIS forms, EOIR procedures, and immigration court processes.
  • Experience preparing filings for Immigration Court, motions, applications for relief, and supporting evidence packets.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with immigration case management software is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, assemble, and file a wide range of immigration petitions and applications.

  • Removal Defense cases, including EOIR filings and court-related documentation
  • Draft immigration forms, cover letters, legal correspondence, motions, and supporting documentation for attorney review
  • Communicate with clients in Spanish and English to gather required documentation and provide case updates
  • Maintain accurate case files and ensure all deadlines are met
  • Monitor case progress and prepare responses to RFEs
  • Communicate with government agencies, including USCIS, NVC, EOIR, Immigration Courts, and other relevant entities
  • Assist attorneys with case preparation, court filings, hearing preparation, and case strategy development
