Job summary

Fisher Phillips, a premier international labor and employment law firm in Atlanta, seeks an Immigration Document Clerk to support attorneys with filing, scanning, and case preparation in both physical and electronic files.

You will handle I-9 support, USCIS petition backups, and workflow coordination, ensuring accurate document management and timely communications with staff. Prior law firm clerical experience is preferred; HS diploma required; strong computer skills essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a law firm or similar environment.
• Strong clerical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Outlook, Excel and Adobe; able to type accurately.

Responsibilities

• File client documents in physical and electronic files; maintain file rooms.
• Prepare closed files for storage or destruction.
• Scan immigration petitions for USCIS filing.
• Prepare and track Federal Express shipping labels.
• Assist with overflow typing, proofreading, printing, and intakes.
• Communicate with attorneys on assignments and project status.
• Assist in I-9 audits and maintain spreadsheets.
• Create folders for new matters and support Service Requests to USCIS.
• Coordinate with IT to set up secure FTP for clients.
• Sort, scan, upload and distribute mail.
• Assist with research and department supplies.
• Assist attorneys and paralegals with research projects.
