Job summary

CCSM is seeking a part-time Community Navigator to support immigrants by locating services, coordinating with legal and social providers, and guiding members to appointments in Hudson, NY. Navigators will be mobile and bridge to city agencies and organizations, with a focus on language access and community empowerment.

This hybrid position requires bilingual English/Spanish, flexibility, and travel within Columbia/Greene counties.

Qualifications

• Commitment to CCSM’s mission and principles of collective liberation.
• Bilingualism required: English/Spanish.
• Previous social service or legal experience is desirable.
• Willingness to work in both remote and in-person settings.
• Willingness to travel for trainings, conferences, and accompaniment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intakes and provide ongoing case follow-up and support.
• Connect immigrants to legal and social service providers and government representatives.
• Distribute financial mutual aid payments.
• Maintain notes and notify members of activity.
• Accompany members to appointments and provide transportation when needed.
• Identify and maintain lists of culturally and linguistically appropriate resources.
• Translate and interpret for CCSM participants.
