Job summary

Town of Lexington is seeking an iREV Tour Guide to lead historically accurate, immersive tours using the new Mixed Reality platform. You will dress in colonial attire, present scripted content, and engage visitors with friendly, informative storytelling.

This part-time, seasonal position requires weekend and holiday availability; training will be provided, and you will help maintain VR gear and hardware to ensure smooth tours.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
• Experience presenting to diverse groups is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.
• Dress in colonial clothing.
• Present historically accurate information as written in scripts.
• Prepare and cover tour content within a set timeframe.
• Respond to questions about Colonial-Era Lexington and the American Revolution.
• Assist visitors with MetaQuest headsets and portable speakers.
• Troubleshoot MetaQuest headset hardware/software for smooth experiences.
• Prepare and sanitize VR headsets, controllers, and software.
• Guide visitors through the 360-degree digital virtual environment.
• Regular attendance is required.
