Qualifications

• Associates degree and 2+ years in media technology service, preferably in an education environment.
• Experience with Pixera media server software preferred.
• Experience with comparable media server platforms (Disguise, Watchout, Resolume, Hippotizer, Ventuz or similar immersive systems).
• Experience supporting advanced projection and immersive visualization or large-format display environments.
• Experience developing or supporting instructional technology solutions in higher education.
• Demonstrated ability to train technical staff and end users on specialized audiovisual systems.

Responsibilities

• Configure, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain Pixera and projection systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex software, hardware, networking, and system integration issues in immersive environments.
• Coordinate testing, software updates, system calibration, and preventative maintenance for Pixera and AV infrastructure.
• Provide technical leadership to a Media Technology Specialist and student employees.
• Develop and maintain operational procedures and technical documentation for the immersive classroom.
• Collaborate with faculty to design and implement instructional content utilizing Pixera technologies.
• Provide instruction and advanced consultation to staff and students on multimedia equipment and Pixera.
• Assist in evaluating new software features and emerging technologies for immersive teaching.
• Install, configure, update, and maintain OS, apps, and media server software supporting classroom tech.
• Communicate professionally with faculty, staff, students, vendors, and departments.
• Set up and provide technical support for university events.
• Engage in ongoing professional development in Pixera, Crestron, Dante and related AV tech.
