Job summary

The Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Simulation Center is seeking a Healthcare Simulation Operator to prepare and break down simulation environments, position manikins, and ensure all required props and supplies are ready for each event.

You will support high-fidelity medical training with AR/VR, recording and debriefing systems, and immersive room controls, while performing setup, operation, and data management in an on-site Bethesda environment.

Qualifications

• Experience requirement: at least one of the following: clinical background with 1+ year experience or valid healthcare certification/licensure or documented military training.
• Simulation experience: at least 1 year as a healthcare simulation operator.
• Technical proficiency: proficiency with computer hardware and software, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Setup and breakdown of simulation environments, including space, manikins, and task trainers.
• Configure and test simulation modalities such as AR/VR, audio/visual systems, and debriefing equipment.
• Operate simulation technologies during training scenarios and manage patient-voice or lab-tech roles when needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to minimize downtime.
• Input training data and operate the center's management system for scheduling and reporting.
