Job summary

Six Flags Great America & Hurricane Harbor is seeking a character performer to entertain guests and deliver immersive experiences. You will follow Production staff directions, perform shows on schedule, and maintain costumes while prioritizing guest safety and engagement.

Applicants must be willing to work outdoors in varied weather, follow park rules, and collaborate with a diverse team to deliver high-energy performances across the park during the season.

Qualifications

• Must be able to engage guests in an energetic and safe manner.
• Ability to perform choreography as directed by Production staff.
• Willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must work well in a team and follow park rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform all shows on time and follow instructions from Lead or Supervisor for Meet & Greets.
• Perform roles as set by Production Staff and Full Time Management; stay consistent with production direction.
• Adhere to park and Warner Bros. rules when in costume; protect costumes and grooming.
• Stay hydrated and prepared for temperature changes during performances.
• Guide guests and ensure safety while interacting with characters and answering park information questions.
• Maintain safe walking spaces around characters and backstage areas, and track appearance durations.
• Take direction and constructive criticism from Production Staff and Stage Managers.
• Wear park-approved clothing when entering and exiting park property.
• Report unsafe acts or conditions to the Lead or Stage Manager immediately.
• Keep venue, break area, makeup area, and Show Wardrobe clean.
• Support park policies and procedures as outlined in manuals.
• Assist in training new personnel as needed.
