Job summary

Carpenter Technology Corporation seeks an Immersion NDT Technician Level II for its Clearwater, FL site. You will perform ultrasonic immersion inspections on titanium, aerospace, medical, and specialty alloys to ensure compliance with standards, and you will set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot immersion equipment with minimal supervision.

The role requires NAS 410 Level II certification, 2–5 years of ultrasonic testing experience, and the ability to read engineering drawings and procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certification as an NDT Level II Ultrasonic Technician per NAS 410/SNT-TC-1A or employer program.
• Minimum 2–5 years of ultrasonic testing experience, preferably immersion.
• Experience inspecting aerospace, medical, titanium, nickel, stainless steel or specialty alloys preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specs and inspection procedures.
• Basic computer proficiency and quality documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasonic immersion inspections per approved procedures and customer requirements.
• Set up, calibrate, verify, and operate immersion inspection equipment.
• Interpret ultrasonic indications and evaluate against acceptance criteria.
• Identify, document, and report defects and nonconforming material.
• Review work instructions, specifications, blueprints, and customer requirements prior to inspection.
• Maintain material traceability and ensure proper handling of inspected products.
• Complete inspection records, certifications, and quality reports.
