Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 24+ credits in English-related field with another degree.
• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge in English literature, composition, and analytical writing.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver rigorous AP English instruction with differentiated approaches.
• Guide students through complex literary/nonfiction texts and rhetorical strategies.
• Develop writing skills: organization, clarity, grammar, and evidence-based writing.
• Prepare students for advanced academic expectations with challenging assignments and feedback.
• Implement BASIS Curriculum and create creative lessons and assessments.
• Collaborate with BASIS colleagues to enhance curriculum and strategies.
• Tutor students to support academic growth and achievement.
• Manage classroom behavior to foster achievement and respect.
• Support non-instructional duties including before/after school supervision.
• Maintain regular, full attendance.
