Job summary

BASIS Chandler is seeking a qualified High School English Teacher for an immediate start. The role is to ensure day-to-day exceptional education by preparing and facilitating lesson plans, while delivering BASIS Curriculum with subject mastery.

Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in the subject or 24+ credit hours, IVP clearance, and MS Office proficiency. Preferred qualifications include a master’s in subject or education and 2+ years of teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in subject matter or 24+ credit hours with other degree.
• Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and facilitate subject and grade specific lesson plans.
• Provide high-level instruction to achieve exceptional results for all students.
• Design effective lessons and assessments to align with BASIS Curriculum.
• Collaborate with BASIS Curriculum teachers to develop curriculum/materials.
• Tutor students in content-specific knowledge and skills to heighten academic trajectory.
• Manage student behavior to foster achievement, responsibility, intellect, and respect.
• Support non-instructional tasks such as Early Bird and Late Bird and lunch.
• Maintain regular, full, predictable attendance.
• Supervise individual students and/or groups.
