Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking an Assembler B - D81-Assembly for a prominent client in Smithfield, PA. The role is a 6+ month onsite assignment with a day shift from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM and an hourly rate of $32.03/hr on W2.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED and 1+ years reading drawings and specifications, with exposure to regulated manufacturing environments and assembly of mechanical or electrical systems.

Shift: Day shift Hours 7:00AM - 4:00PM

Duration: 6+ months (Possible extension/conversion based on performance and budget)

Hourly Rate on W2: $32.03/hr.

Job Description

Performs routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual operations

Work independently to develop, modify, and document actions to assure problem resolution and/or to implement correction action and/or preventive action

This position is expected to 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Candidates must be willing to work any shift.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 + years’ experience reading, understanding, engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design)
• Experience in a highly regulated environment where compliance is critical
• 1+ years of experience working in a Manufacturing environment.
• Experience with fabrication and/or assembly of mechanical or electrical systems utilizing production industry standards.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

• 1 + year of experience working with specialized tools (e.g., electrical, and mechanical wire crimpers and strippers, wire routing tools, accessing computer files, multimeters)
• Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities data needed for defining delivery configurations (e.g., design definition, program directives, and engineering drawings, change memos, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, supplier data)
• Ability to differentiate production (manufacturing) processes and requirements from in-service procedures and requirements. Participates in the evaluation and qualification of materials, suppliers, equipment, technology and processes to ensure that conformance and reproducibility requirements are met
• Complete knowledge of shop processes to include Foreign Object Damage/Debris (FOD) prevention, material handling, safety, calibration requirements and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)
