Job summary

NASFAA seeks a Database Specialist to serve as the internal point of contact for our AMS/iMIS. You’ll support staff and leadership during platform migration to a cloud-based version and assist members with questions, payments, and support needs.

This is a cross-functional role within Membership, collaborating with internal and external teams to train, guide, and optimize the iMIS Staff site. The ideal candidate has deep iMIS experience, a service focus, and the ability to translate data into

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, data management/analytics, or related field.
• Significant experience implementing and supporting iMIS (desktop and cloud).
• Experience with query writing, SQL, and IQAs.
• Experience creating/modifying reports in SSRS, Power BI, and iMIS Writer.
• Familiar with payment systems and accounting practices.

Responsibilities

• Shadow and support the Director of Membership and Database Services.
• Create, deliver, and facilitate self-service data reports and mailing lists.
• Maintain the IMIS staff site and serve as the primary staff support contact.
• Develop docs, training paths, and guides for internal/external audiences.
• Gather data requirements and deliver data solutions for org goals.
• Assist in data updates, migrations, and process improvements.
• Create member targets and data connections for NASFAA online entities.
• Perform data analysis and accuracy checks across sources.
• Collaborate with finance to ensure data reconciliation and reporting.
• Support annual audits and cross-department projects.
