Job summary

ExamWorks is seeking an IME Specialist to head up the Billing and Collections Supervisor function in Roseland, NJ. You will oversee a five-person team, manage daily invoicing and aging, ensure timely collection, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations. Prior IME/insurance or medical-legal exposure preferred.

Hybrid option after training; onsite in Roseland; strong software experience including Collect-IT, Great Plains, Excel; high school diploma and 3–5 years experience required.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; 3–5 years experience in billing/collections or IME/insurance.
• Experience with billing software and strong numerical accuracy.
• Excellent communication and ability to supervise staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee department staff and ensure accurate, timely processing of invoices and monthly billing reports.
• Provide supervision of billing and collections staff and ensure adherence to contracts.
• Ensure daily invoicing per company practices and client agreements; follow up on delays.
• Monitor aging accounts >30 days and contact clients for collections.
• Investigate invoice problems and resolve discrepancies with providers or physicians.
• Address client payment inquiries and respond to disputes with management as needed.
• Prepare information for audits and maintain confidentiality of financial files.
• Support clerical duties and general office tasks as required.
