Job summary

Northwest Health - La Porte Hospital in La Porte, IN is seeking an RN for the IMCU, full-time days (7a–7p, 36 hours/week). You will provide patient-centered care, coordinate with physicians and the health care team, and follow care protocols.

Eligible to receive up to $20,000 in tuition reimbursement and a $15,000 sign-on bonus, plus relocation support and comprehensive benefits including insurance and 401(k).

Qualifications

• RN license active in Indiana or compact state
• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience in acute care setting
• ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred but not required (per guidelines)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per the nursing process.
• Assess patients and document findings; report changes to care team.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency.
• Respond to medical emergencies and participate in CPR.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and discharge plans.
• Maintain infection control and a safe environment.
• Document care thoroughly in medical records.
• Engage in performance improvement activities.
