Job summary

Northwest Health – La Porte Hospital seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the IMCU. Shift: 7a-7p, 36 hours weekly. Includes tuition reimbursement and sign-on bonuses for eligible candidates.

The RN will deliver patient-centered care, coordinate with the care team, administer medications, and support families through treatment and discharge planning in a high-acuity IMCU setting.

Qualifications

• RN license required or compact state licensure
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) required
• ACLS and PALS preferred
• NRP preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process.
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings.
• Administer medications and monitor effects per policy.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams for care plans.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments and discharge plans.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in code team activities.
