White Oak Medical Center in Silver Spring, MD is seeking an experienced Patient Care Technician for the Intermediate Care Unit to support the care team with vital signs, ADLs, and patient safety under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

The role emphasizes adherence to care plans, accurate reporting, and ongoing professional development, with day shifts, 36 hours per week, and weekend/holiday rotation in a faith-based hospital environment that values compassionate, comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Maryland CNA License required.
• Successful completion of a CNA program and CNA exam.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• English language proficiency (spoken and written).
• Physical ability to perform lifting, bending and turning.
• Experience in acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform vital signs and activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Follow care plans established by the RN and participate in safety culture.
• Report equipment malfunctions and maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Engage in department education programs and professional initiatives.
• Maintain professional image and commitment to patient-centered care.
• Weekend and holiday rotation as part of shift schedule.
