Job summary

Adventist HealthCare in Silver Spring, MD is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). This full-time night-shift role provides high-quality patient care and supports holistic healing.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active Maryland RN license and BLS certification.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards of practice.
• Use equipment and technology correctly and delegate non-nursing duties appropriately.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Identify impending changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
• Conduct efficient literature searches and apply findings to practice.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in change of practice based on evidence.
