Job summary

Cedars-Sinai in California seeks a Transporter for the Imaging department. Under the Director's supervision, you will transport patients to and from Imaging and within CSMH, while considering age-specific needs and safety concerns.

Responsibilities include patient escort, device operation, equipment maintenance, and coordination with clinical staff. A High School Diploma/GED is required; healthcare experience is preferred. Strong communication with patients and staff is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (minimum).
• 6 months Windows-based PC experience (minimum).
• 6 months experience in health care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort/transport patients to and from the Imaging department and within CSMH following health and safety protocols.
• Maintain equipment and cleanliness as needed.
• Provide safe, direct observation of patients during transport.
• Assist technologist in preparing patient for exam when needed.
• Maintain adequate linen supplies and assist with logistics in Imaging rooms.
• Communicate questions or concerns to the Coordinator, Supervisor, Manager or Director.
• Adhere to local fire and safety regulations and hospital policies.
