Job summary

Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles is seeking a patient transport role within the diagnostic imaging department. The position supports radiology staff by safely moving patients and assisting with imaging procedures.

Responsibilities include direct patient care as directed by technologists, coordinating with nursing staff, and handling handoffs. A High School diploma and BLS are required; health-related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or Red Cross required.
• 6 months of experience in a health-related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports/escorts patients within the diagnostic imaging department.
• Provides direct patient care as directed by Technologists or Radiologists.
• Acts as liaison between Technologists and Nursing staff.
• Performs hand off of care within imaging dept and hospital unit as needed.
• Checks all documentation prior to patient transfer.
• Prepares rooms with linen and supplies; keeps rooms clean and safe.
• May assist with scheduling procedures and calling appointment reminders.
• May assist in processing lab samples for delivery to the lab.
• Effectively uses information systems as required.
