Job summary

Responsibilities

• Safely transports patients (with and without oxygen) within the diagnostic imaging department.
• Provides direct patient care as directed by Technologists or Radiologists.
• Serves as liaison between Technologists and Nursing staff.
• Performs hand-offs of care within imaging dept and hospital unit; reports abnormal or urgent signs.
• Checks all documentation prior to patient transfer.
• Prepares rooms with linen and supplies; keeps rooms clean and safe.
• Assists scheduling procedures and calls patients with reminders.
• Assists in processing lab samples for delivery to lab.
• Uses information systems effectively.
