Job summary

The Valley Hospital-Paramus is seeking an Imaging Technologist to perform radiologic procedures and produce diagnostic images under supervision. You will operate radiology equipment, verify patient identity, and ensure studies are archived properly in PACS and RIS.

Requires ARRT registration or registry eligibility and NJ licensure with CPR certification. Must complete ARRT registry within 12 months and be capable of working nights, including every other Saturday into Sunday, in a busy clinical

Qualifications

• Completion from an accredited Radiology Technology program and ARRT registration or registry eligible.
• Must obtain ARRT registry within one year of employment.
• Current NJ DEP license and CPR certification are required.
• Strong manual dexterity to operate radiologic equipment and accessories.
• Able to work in sensitive areas including OR and critical care units.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for radiologic procedures and perform imaging according to physician orders.
• Operate radiation-producing equipment following protocols.
• Verify patient identity and select exams from the worklist and archive in PACS/RIS.
• Maintain imaging facilities in proper order and stay up to date with imaging protocols.
