Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in New Jersey seeks a Radiologic Technologist Lead to oversee diagnostic imaging during the night shift. You will perform radiographic procedures, ensure image quality, and uphold radiation safety standards while guiding staff and students.

Responsibilities include equipment operation, patient comfort, contrast media handling, image routing to PACS, and accurate part labeling. ARRT certification, NJ license, and BLS are required; two years' experience preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT Certification in Radiation Technology is required.
• NJ radiology license is required.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide radiographic images and position fluoroscopic equipment as directed.
• Minimize radiation exposure and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Prepare and select contrast media for examinations and special studies.
• Process radiographs for PACS and ensure correct body part labeling.
• Review x-ray requests and manage workflow efficiently.
• Assist in instruction of student radiographers and demonstrate techniques.
