Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a trainee Radiology Imaging Technologist to learn advanced imaging procedures and patient prep for exams. You will assist Radiologists and APCs, perform routine measurements, and support equipment care in a fast-paced environment.

Position supports 4-10's schedule (3rd shift) with a strong emphasis on safety, protocol adherence, and patient-centered care within Advocate Health's imaging department.

Qualifications

• Requires ARRT (RT) and radiography (R) certification or NMTCB CNMT.
• Successful completion of an accredited imaging technology program.
• Typically one year of clinical imaging experience.

Responsibilities

• Complies with technologist scope of practice and learns to perform advanced imaging procedures.
• Prepares and rooms the patient, documents health information, and maintains rooms and equipment.
• Performs POCT procedures using aseptic technique and safety guidelines.
• Assists Radiologist/APC with image-guided procedures.
• Administers routine medications under orders and provides patient instructions.
• Maintains quality control and uses proper PPE; supports patient flow.
