Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Radiology Technologist to determine and perform radiographic procedures. You will position patients, operate radiology equipment, secure immobilization devices and ensure high-quality films for radiologists.

The role requires adherence to safety standards, maintenance of equipment and supplies, and cooperation with clinical staff to deliver excellent patient care. CPR and ARRT licensure are essential.

Qualifications

• IDNS license required and graduate from an AMA-accredited radiology program.
• Knowledge of Health Information System and basic radiology equipment.
• CPR certification and ARRT registration.

Responsibilities

• Determine appropriate radiological technique and position using immobilization and support devices.
• Position patient and operate radiology equipment.
• Adhere to safety standards and protect patients and staff; ensure shielding where appropriate.
• Maintain supplies and cleanliness of the assigned room daily.
• Administer CPR as necessary and ensure accurate examination requisitions.
• Familiar with MSDS for chemicals used in the department and perform clerical duties to support department operations.
