Job summary

Advocate Health’s Radiology department is hiring a Licensed Radiographer to perform general diagnostic and fluoroscopic radiology procedures. The role requires accurate image labeling, patient safety, and collaboration with Radiologists.

Position is full-time, 2nd shift (1-9pm), Monday through Friday. Strong communication and computer skills are essential, with BLS due within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Radiography positioning and techniques knowledge.
• Basic radiation safety and radiology equipment understanding.
• Excellent communication and patient service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to intermediate radiographic procedures including fluoroscopic exams.
• Explain procedures, obtain history, and address questions from patients.
• Position patients, set exposure factors, and ensure radiation safety.
• Identify and label images, verify orders, and ensure exam accuracy.
• Assist Radiologists and document billing codes in RIS.
