Job summary

Advocate Health Care seeks a Radiology Imaging Tech-in-Training to learn advanced imaging procedures, patient preparation, and collaboration with Radiology staff. You will support imaging workflow, assist with procedures, and ensure safety and quality in a busy hospital setting.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, adherence to protocols, and growth in a multidisciplinary environment within Advocate Health Care's radiology department.

Qualifications

• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA)
• ARRT RT and radiography (R) or NMTCB CNMT or unrestricted state license
• Successful completion of an accredited imaging technology program
• Typically one year of clinical experience

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform advanced imaging procedures with proper patient positioning and protocol compliance.
• Prepare and room patients, document health information and maintain exam rooms.
• Perform POCT procedures using aseptic technique and standard precautions.
• Assist Radiologist/APC with image-guided procedures.
• Administer routine medications under orders, including contrast media and oxygen.
• Communicate with Radiologist, care team, and patients to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Perform routine quality control and maintenance of imaging equipment.
• Provide age-appropriate patient care and participate in process improvement initiatives.
