Job summary

Veritas Search Group is seeking a Software Engineer to develop and maintain desktop GUI applications using C++ and Qt for imaging system calibration and testing near Santa Clara, CA. The role emphasizes GUI development, automation, and hardware/firmware integration.

You will collaborate with image processing, firmware, and hardware teams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to code reviews and documentation to ensure robust software solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or EE.
• 3+ years of desktop GUI application development.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and Qt Widgets (Qt 5/6).
• Solid OO programming and software design fundamentals.
• Experience with hardware or external device communication is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain desktop GUI applications using C++ and Qt Widgets for imaging system calibration, tuning, lab automation, simulation, and testing.
• Design and implement new solutions for next-generation software tools and applications.
• Enhance existing software applications supporting imaging and video processing systems.
• Develop automation scripts to accelerate testing, system integration, and development.
• Build and maintain infrastructure for hardware and firmware testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with image processing, firmware, and hardware engineering teams.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and develop technical documentation.
