Job summary

Akkar in California is seeking a Senior Software Camera Tools Engineer to join a cross-functional team building desktop tools that calibrate, tune, simulate, automate, and validate camera systems connected to imaging hardware.

You will design new tools, improve platforms used by imaging, firmware, hardware, and QA teams, and build automation to accelerate bring-up and testing. Strong Qt/C++ experience and hardware interfacing are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years with Qt/C++ desktop applications.
• Experience with hardware or embedded system interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Windows desktop tools for camera calibration, tuning, and validation.
• Design new software tools for imaging, firmware, hardware, and image quality teams.
• Build automation to accelerate camera bring-up, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Create applications that communicate with hardware, firmware, and embedded systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship in software design and GUI architectures.
