Job summary

indie Semiconductor in San Jose, CA is seeking a Senior Software Camera Tools Engineer to design and maintain a suite of desktop tools that support camera calibration, tuning, and lab automation across our ISP and IQ teams.

You will collaborate with imaging, firmware, and hardware teams to expand tool capabilities for camera systems, mentor peers in GUI patterns, and contribute to training materials and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 6 years of professional experience in CS/EE or related field.
• Strong experience developing desktop applications in C++ with solid architecture.
• Experience with Qt or similar GUI frameworks to build desktop interfaces.
• Hands-on experience interfacing software with hardware devices, embedded systems, or firmware.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain GUI host tools for camera calibration and lab automation.
• Drive new ideas and implement host tool solutions for next-generation products.
• Improve tools for the camera video processor family and debug workflows.
• Collaborate with imaging, firmware, and hardware teams to expand tool capabilities.
• Mentor engineers on GUI design patterns and write training materials.
