Veritas Search Group is seeking a Software Engineer to develop and maintain desktop GUI applications using C++ and Qt for imaging system calibration and testing near Santa Clara, CA. The role emphasizes GUI development, automation, and hardware/firmware integration.

You will collaborate with image processing, firmware, and hardware teams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to code reviews and documentation to ensure robust software solutions.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in CS or EE.

Overview

The Software Engineer will develop and maintain desktop software applications and tools supporting imaging systems, image processing, calibration, and testing. The role focuses on C++/Qt-based graphical user interfaces (GUIs), automation, and integration with hardware and firmware systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain desktop GUI applications using C++ and Qt Widgets for imaging system calibration, tuning, lab automation, simulation, and testing.
• Design and implement new solutions for next-generation software tools and applications.
• Enhance existing software applications supporting imaging and video processing systems.
• Develop automation scripts to accelerate testing, system integration, and development.
• Build and maintain infrastructure for hardware and firmware testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with image processing, firmware, and hardware engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of dedicated desktop GUI application development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and hands-on experience with Qt Widgets (Qt 5 or Qt 6).
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and software design.
• Experience developing software applications that communicate with hardware or external devices is preferred.
• Familiarity with Python, C programming, and hardware communication protocols is a plus.
• Experience with imaging systems, image processing, or evaluation boards is a plus.
