Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, PA, seeks an Imaging Department Support role to help staff and patients within the assigned imaging area. You will transport patients, prepare them for procedures, and support workflow across the department.

The position covers post-procedural duties, inventory control, and data entry into the EMR, with nonclinical support as needed. HIPAA compliance and background screenings are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred 1 year experience in medical office or imaging office setting.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from clinical areas and verifies patient identity according to policies and procedures.
• Assists technologists with preparing patients for procedures.
• Performs post-procedural duties including patient discharge, room clean up and restocking supplies.
• Assists with inventory control.
• Assists technologists with delivering and retrieving patient reports/imaging, entering data, in electronic medical records, import and export through appropriate means and methods.
• Provides nonclinical support to the department as necessary.
• Any other duties as assigned.
