Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a staff support teammate in the imaging department to assist with patient transport, preparing patients for procedures, and verifying identities. You will support technologists and help ensure smooth workflow in a hospital setting.

Additional duties include post-procedure tasks, inventory control, and data entry into the EMR. This role requires CPR certification and background clearances in accordance with hospital policy and patient privacy regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months' experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred: 1 year experience in medical office or imaging office setting.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from clinical areas and verifies patient identity; assists with preparing patients for procedures.
• Performs post-procedural duties including discharge, room cleanup and restocking supplies; assists with inventory control.
• Assists with delivering and retrieving patient reports/imaging; enters data in EMR; supports import/export as needed.
• Provides nonclinical support to the department as necessary.
• Any other duties as assigned.
