Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a part-time Radiology Technician Assistant to support imaging services and coordinate patient flow. The role involves preparing exam rooms, verifying orders, and assisting technologists, nurses, and physicians during procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma, CPR (BLS) certification, and strong communication and organizational skills to ensure efficient patient care. Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• CPR Certification (BLS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for the patient throughout the procedure according to department standards.
• Prepare procedure rooms and verify paperwork and orders.
• Explain exams and answer basic questions; handle MR Safety if applicable.
• Assist technologists, nurses or physicians during exams/procedures.
• Coordinate patient care and manage patient flow in imaging departments.
• Retrieve physician orders from EPIC, Chartview, Powerchart and other systems.
• Monitor scheduling and inform staff of delays.
• Maintain equipment and supply inventories in treatment rooms.
• Provide clerical/technical support as assigned by Manager.
