Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Assistant Tech Imaging to provide support to technologists, nurses and physicians, coordinating patient flow and preparing exam rooms. You will verify orders, escort patients, and assist in exams while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include preparing rooms, assisting with exams, documenting paperwork, and coordinating with clinical staff to ensure timely imaging services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills expected.
• Strong problem solving and organizational skills required.
• Demonstrates computer skills; CPR certification (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Cares for the patient throughout the treatment/procedure according to department and hospital standards of care, age-specific sensitivities, and Patients' First guidelines.
• Prepares procedure rooms and verifies paperwork and orders to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Assists in preparing patients for exams, explains procedures, and answers basic questions.
• Follows directions of technologist/nurse to assist in performing exams.
