Ochsner Health System in Kenner is seeking a Radiology Technologist Assistant to join our evenings, full-time team. The role supports imaging technologists and radiologists, escorting patients, operating within our imaging department, and ensuring safety and efficient workflow.

The position requires a high school diploma and BLS certification within six months, with a preference for candidates with acute care or OR exposure.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association within six months of employment is required.
No required prior work experience; experience in acute care or OR is preferred.

Responsabilités

Assist imaging technologists, nurses and radiologists with daily department activities.
Escort patients and assist in care as needed.
Navigate computer systems to obtain information.
Observe patients for safety and comfort in the imaging department.
Transport supplies, equipment, and records for the department.
Maintain adequate supplies in exam rooms and manage equipment as needed.
Support a positive, collaborative team environment.
Adapt communication to patient populations and obtain permissions as required.
