Job summary

Beacon Health System is seeking an Radiology Tech Assistant to support imaging workflows and patient care in the radiology department. You will transport and prepare patients, verify details, and assist with positioning and comfort during procedures.

The role also handles imaging informatics tasks, such as registering patients in Cerner and managing PACS, Volpara, and TeleTracking systems, ensuring accurate data entry and efficient processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• One to three years of related experience preferred.
• Experience with imaging informatics platforms (Cerner, PACS, Volpara, TeleTracking) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport and prepare patients safely for imaging procedures, following all patient identification and safety protocols.
• Verify patient identity and procedure details prior to exams; ensure armband accuracy.
• Assist in positioning patients, managing monitoring equipment, and providing comfort.
• Prepare and deliver oral contrast; ensure labeling and documentation.
• Operate imaging informatics systems (PACS, Cerner, Volpara) and help with registration processes.
• Maintain exam rooms and restock supplies.
